Florence Peshine Eagleton
Eagleton was one of the first women to serve as a Trustee of Rutgers University. She bequeathed more than $1,000,000 to establish the Wells Phillips Eagleton and Florence Peschine Eagleton Foundation. Which is now called the Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University, which strives to provide education in practical politics for young women.
